Abstract This document inventories what Marymount University has said and done publicly about artificial intelligence as of April 6, 2026.
Abstract This document inventories what Marymount University has said and done publicly about artificial intelligence as of April 6, 2026. It is not an audit, maturity assessment, or scorecard. Research draws exclusively from institutional pages, news releases, faculty profiles, grant databases, policy documents, and public filings; no FOIA requests, interviews, or internal documents informed the work.
Part I provides an institutional overview across ten sections covering governance architecture, policy infrastructure, teaching and learning, the tool ecosystem, academic integrity, research governance, library and information literacy, infrastructure investment, public statements, and the evidence archive. Part II contains seven unit dossiers organized in a six-part structure: Governance & Policy, People, Teaching & Curriculum, Tools & Technology, Research & Scholarship, and Events & Programming. Units covered are the School of Technology and Innovation, College of Health and Education, Reinsch Library, Information Technology Services, Office of the President & Executive Leadership, Office of Teaching Excellence and Assessment, and College of Sciences and Humanities.
The inventory documents an institution where AI activity is heavily concentrated in one school (STI), where presidential signaling on AI governance has outpaced operational governance infrastructure, and where governance-relevant faculty research exists in parallel to — rather than informing — institutional policy. Approximately 25,000 words; 180+ source URLs; produced as a standalone reference document, not derivative of any synthesis paper.
